Women and Girls
More and more women and girls are getting involved in our sport thanks to the likes of the Femmes Fatales and Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club; female focused shooting clubs that host events across the country, catering for beginners and experienced shots alike.

There are also plenty of women and girls participating in rifle and pistol shooting and our Target Sprint series has a really good gender split.

British Shooting is also delighted to support Sport Englandís This Girl Can campaign, which aims to inspire women to get up, get out and get active. You can find out more about Sport England's This Girl Can campaign by clicking here.

No matter what level you're at, there is somewhere for you to participate. We have decided to detail just a few possible routes you can take to start your target shooting journey.

Information on the clubs mentioned above and others is provided below.

Chelsea Bun Club (@ChelseaBunClub) are a nationwide and award winning shooting club who describe themselves on Twitter as the UK's largest Ladies' clay shooting and cake club. It is a super fun and inclusive ladies shooting club, where everyone is welcome, from absolute beginners, right up to more experienced ladies. They're on a real mission to get more girls involved in shooting. It's all about reputable instructors, low recoil guns, like minded ladies, fine china and having cake and eating it!

Femmes Fatales (@shewolfshoot) a nationwide club who describe themselves on Twitter as the largest and most bad-ass all-girl clay shooting club in the World. Mixing glamour and guns, style and shooting, their mission is to introduce more girls to the sport. No experience required. They want to share that passion with like-minded women, ones that are driven, ambitious and independent Ė Women that have a love for fashion, partying, high heels and lipstick, but also like the smell of gun oil and arenít afraid to get their boots muddy.

Ladies and Shooting Society (@LaSS_Shooting) Are you an experienced shot who would like to develop your skills or are you a complete beginner who would like to have a go and pick up a gun for the very first time? Either way, Ladies and Shooting Society is for you. LaSS is a women-only shooting club for ladies of all ages who want to learn and improve their skills whilst socialising with other likeminded women in a relaxed and encouraging environment. They believe that having a good time is just as important as improving your shooting skills, so all of our events are great opportunities to build your network of shooting friends.

North East Shooting (@NEShooting) A shooting ground for all - male or female, but they are known to host ladies days.

BASC (@BASCnews) provides women only shooting opportunities all over the UK. These range from introductory days for novices through to more advanced days at clay grounds and pheasant shoots. For more information on Ladies days contact our Regional Centres.

If you run sessions or programmes specifically to introduce women to target shooting we would love to hear from you so that we can add you to this section. Please contact Alison Webb - Alison.webb@britishshooting.org.uk
