Embracing Code For Sport Governance

Following the launch of the Code for Sports Governance* in late 2016, British Shooting has taken a significant step towards full compliance by revising its Articles of Association at an AGM held on 1st March 2017. This has resulted in a restructuring of the Board of British Shooting which now comprises an Independent Chair, and ex-officio Chief Executive, four independent non-executive directors, three nominated directors, and three member body directors representing the CPSA, the NRA and the NSRA.

As a result, two vacancies have arisen and British Shooting will advertise for these posts as it embarks upon a new cycle to Tokyo 2020. In filling these Board positions, British Shooting is committed to progressing gender parity and diversity.

*Progress toward compliance with the Code for Sports Governance is a mandatory requirement for organisations in receipt of public funding.
