Griffin Lloyd Unveiled As Talent Hub
Griffin Lloyd has become the first shooting ground to be officially unveiled as a British Shooting Talent Hub.
British Shooting Talent Hubs are the foundation of the Talent Pathway for identifying and developing the next generation of top performing shooters in the UK.
Dean Leak, British Shooting Talent Pathway Manager, said: “It is fantastic news to officially announce our partnership with Griffin Lloyd. We are excited to work with Griffin Lloyd and its network of skill coaches to provide mutually beneficial activity and learning environments to develop shooters of all levels, ages and backgrounds.
"Within these environments, we aim to do the basics exceptionally well to ensure we give each individual the opportunity to become better people and performers. Our aim is to build a network of Talent Hubs which will collaborate and co-create as a community to invent the future in becoming a World Leading shooting nation."
Typically, British Shooting will partner with commercial grounds in Great Britain to deliver activity, agreed within the partnership, to grow and sustain the sport. The hubs will give access to Olympic disciplines and offer support from recognised British Shooting skill coaches to ensure shooters receive high level coaching.
Christian Schofield, Talent Pathway Co-ordinator, said: “As well as our aspiring Olympians, disability shooters regularly use the Griffin Lloyd as part of their training within the Pathway and this is a great example of how we are building an integrated Talent Pathway to support the next generation of Paralympians.
"With a warm and comfortable clubhouse, great covered layouts and world-class targets, it has been the perfect place to hone their skills, even in deep winter.”
