British Shooting is delighted to announce Nike as its official kit supplier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic cycle.
Nike is a world leading sports clothing company, and as British Shooting continues on its journey to making Great Britain a world leading shooting nation, this is seen as the start of a long-term relationship, with work planned over the next 12 months to expand the range following athlete feedback.
As part of our 'One British Shooting' ambition - and in partnership with Neon Team Sports - Nike kit will be awarded to rifle, pistol and shotgun athletes who achieve selection for GBR in ISSF and IPC disciplines at senior World Cups, and at junior and senior World and European Championships.
A first glimpse of the kit in action can be seen when shooters compete at the ISSF Korea World Championships, which starts this weekend in Changwon. This will be closely followed by the Paralympic and Para Trap World Cup in September.
Performance Operations Manager, Alex Ballard, said: “I am absolutely delighted that we now have GBR kit in place that our Paralympic and Olympic athletes will be proud to wear.
“Initial feedback from the team competing at the World Championships in Changwon has been great with some really strong feedback around design and comfort."
“It’s fantastic that we have been able to partner with Neon Team Sports to supply Nike team kit. Nike is one of the world’s leading sportswear brands and we have put in place a package of kit that will no doubt be envied by other countries.
“The World Championships marks the beginning of the British Shooting-Nike relationship and we are looking forward to working with them to keep developing this range of GBR clothing so we are leading the way in how we look and feel at major Championships.
“I’m looking forward to our Paralympic and Paratrap team receiving their kit prior to their World Cup in France in September. This will give a really united appearance across all our British Shooting teams.”
