An incredible few days at the WSPS Châteauroux World Cup 2018 has seen the UK win medals in Para Trap and Air Rifle.
Matt Skelhon secured a gold in mixed 10m Air Rifle SH1 on Saturday, while earlier in the week he won bronze in R6!
With just 0.1 between silver and gold in the final scores in SH1, Skelhon had to hold his nerve right until the last shot, and he didn’t disappoint, beating Finland’s Jarkko Mylly score of 253.3 to secure top spot.
Earlier in the week Skelhon also secured bronze after USA’s John Joss III took silver and Spain’s Juan Saavedra Reinaldo took gold.
In Para Trap, Steve Ling won bronze in PT2 Trap Mixed Standing SG-L on Thursday with a fantastic performance that saw him miss out on silver and gold to France’s Curil Delubac and Italy’s Raffaele Talamo, respectively.
British Shooting Shotgun Grand Final winner, Allan Ritchie, took his fantastic form into his next event and produced a performance that saw him win silver in PT1 Trap Mixed Seating SG-S. He was pipped to gold by Australia’s Scottie Brydon who scored 37, to Ritchie’s 36.
GB also secured Team Gold for the PT1 class thanks to solid shooting by both Keith White and Alec Sperling!
