British Shooting is delighted to launch the Shotgun Series 2018!
Building on the success of the British Shooting Grand Final 2017, the Shotgun Series is designed to provide a really exciting and inspirational competition series for all Olympic shotgun shooters across the UK, culminating in what we hope will be another fantastic Grand Final event in 2018.
The Series consists of three ‘rounds’ which will allow shooters to qualify for the end of season Grand Final event. Each round, and the Grand Final itself will also be the principal domestic events considered by the British Shooting Shotgun Selection Panel for selection for GBR teams for major events.
This page will be the main hub of information for all things Shotgun Series and can be accessed via the British Shooting website home page, or the direct link www.britishshooting.org.uk/shotgunseries.
British Shooting Operations Manager, Alex Ballard, said: “We are really proud to fully launch the Shotgun Series for 2018 and that athletes can now enter, and find out all they need to know about the series via our website.
"We hope these events build on the success of last year's Grand Final and give Olympic Shooters in the UK an exciting and aspirational competition environment.
"We fully understand it is a very busy competition calendar for shooters in the UK but we hope people are excited by the prospect of this series and will support it by entering. The information on the website will provide the key information about the series including how it links to Great Britain team Selection."
In the build up to the first event (Round One of Olympic Trap at Nuthampstead on the 17th and 18th March), British Shooting will release more detail on how prizes/prize funds will work and also how the events will look and feel for athletes.
Ballard added: "Those who attended the Grand Final, last year, will have an idea of what these competitions will be about. We thank our event partner RC Cartridges for their continued support for 2018 and we really hope to see as many of the Shotgun community at the events as competitors or spectators."
Any questions are very welcome and can be sent to email@example.com. We are looking forward to seeing as many of the Shotgun Community as possible at these events!
