Tim was born on the Isle of Man in 1982 and grew up on the family farm. He had an active sporting childhood representing the Isle of Man in cricket and captaining the rugby team, as well as shooting at the age of 16 in his first International competition.
After suffering a broken leg playing rugby aged 18 Tim took shooting a bit more seriously. 2 years later he had a Bronze Medal at the 2002 World Championships and followed this over the years with various International and Domestic Medals.
Some of the most memorable are a World Championship and Commonwealth Bronze Medals in 2010.
Tim Kneale is the current menís double trap world record holder and is a Commonwealth Games bronze medallist from 2010, an event where he represented the Isle of Man.
In the same year he won World Championships bronze in Munich. Kneale represented the Isle in both rugby and cricket before taking up shooting more seriously at the age of 18. Two years later he was a World Championship medallist after taking team bronze in Finland.
